The Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC), formed in September 2012, consolidated the operations of the former State Architect’s Office and the Ohio School Facilities Commission. OFCC is responsible for guiding capital projects for state agencies, state-supported universities and community colleges, including Ohio’s comprehensive public K-12 school construction and renovation program. In September, 2007, the Ohio School Facilities Commission approved a resolution requiring all K-12 schools that participate in OFCC funded programs to achieve a minimum of Silver Certification under the USGBC’s LEED for Schools rating system.
